Our Organization The Hispanic Alliance of Atlantic County, (HAAC), founded in 1992, is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation that represents the interests and concerns of Atlantic County's rapidly growing Hispanic population. It's year-round programs and activities are organized and coordinated by non-paid volunteers and HAAC's twenty three (23) board of trustees. Our Mission Our mission is to bring together the talents and abilities of members of the Hispanic population as an advocate and resource for the economic, cultural, social and civic betterment of our community.
Our Objectives To serve as a catalyst to make things happen and to provide leadership and advocacy for the Hispanic Community. - Promote membership involvement in community boards and other leadership roles
- Provide advocacy and opportunities for Hispanic in education, employment, housing and social services
- Develop scholarship programs and promote higher education
- Develop mentoring programs and other youth oriented programs
- Provide input on laws that affect the Hispanic community
- Provide information on voter education and registration
- Promote our rich Hispanic cultural heritage through the annual festival and other events
- Promote Hispanic Businesses and opportunities for economic development growth in our community
