Luis A. Molina Scholarship

Chairperson: Maria I. Torres and Aurora Boyette

This scholarship is based on merit and academic achievement, not on financial need. This year we will be offering two $2,000.0 scholarships; one of which has been set aside for a student athlete in honor of Jasmine Rivera, an outstanding student who passed away in 1999. These scholarships are paid in four $500.00 installments over the 4 years of college.

Annual Youth Leadership Summit

Chairperson: Maria I. Torres and Aurora Boyette

The Youth Summit consists of two days full of interactive workshops and teambuilding activities designed to develop the leadership skills of students from our county’s high schools.

Festival Latino-Americano

The annual Festival Latino Americano showcases the best in Latin music, foods, arts, crafts and activities. This year the festival will take place on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th at the Shore Mall in EHT. The festival provides a venue to share and celebrate the Latino culture, and it helps us raise the financial resources needed to fund our community programs.

Nuestro Pueblo Awards

The purpose of this awards program is to promote involvement in the Hispanic community by recognizing individuals who have made a visible contribution in improving the quality of life in the community and advancing the Hispanic cultural heritage.

Hispanic Art Exhibit

Every year, HAAC and the Atlantic City Art Center feature top Latino artists during the Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15). The exhibits may be viewed daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission and parking is free. For more information contact the Art Center at 609-347-5837
